I.E.P. Meeting for oldest, teen Freshman going to Mayo High School, Rochester, MN

It amazes me that a lot of the things brought up in the laughable, "horrible" email(s) asserting our rights and huge misgivings about everything going wrong in our kids education has now become matter of fact.

This blog is live and well as I said it would be published. All of the "illegal" and "immoral" activity is up on the web for the whole world to see.
All the criminally illegal documents have been scanned and are on the web and everyone can see the core of our continued frustration and struggle against deliberate agitators.

We now have a educational lawyer that will be supervising the I.E.P. process with Rochester MN Schools and will make sure that everything from here moving forward is legal and up to standard.

The idea that we have to continue to take the low blows and personal attacks has come and gone.

In everything in life, God/ Karma brings balance and even in this situation balance and fairness is currently being restored.
I love God in the very basis, that he will not allow those who choose to hurt you to prosper.
We are seeing it now. Living it as many words.

Today's themes are going to be pretty straight forward:

1. Parental rights - I have them, you are not getting a chance to remotely dream of going there.

2. Medical Records - I'm no giving a school corporation that has a tendency for not following the rules, open game, to go on a fishing expedition through my child's medical records. You have his medical conditions as listed on the enrollment forms. I can/ will provide a medical summary written by the parents and one by a doctor. That's all I have to give you in law and theory.

3. Parental/ School Choice - The district own school board website goes into great detail about parents and students having the right of school choice. It hasn't happened in this situation and I reference the prior mentioned, "moving too fast",  comments by Mrs. Brandt, backing this up.
Exactly, how and why does a educator tell a freshman (or his parents) that they are moving too fast as they are literally on the clock. Our child will not be in high school forever and he already knows our "high" standards in regards to his grades and his 90-120 day, get your butt into gear limit after graduation.

Basically, this educator, is going directly against what we want as parents and attempting to lower the standards when we have already set high, achievable standards for our children.
If the educators choose to dumb down standards to artificially inflate test scores and school rankings, so be it, butt don't interfere with my parenting as I expect more from my child and I will accept nothing short of his best effort and excellence.

4. Opening the roads of communication between us (the parents) and his teachers. Any educator or it's leadership that throws up deliberate barriers fosters ill will and I do have to question, "do they have my kids best interests at heart?"

We'll see how it goes. I'm going in with a positive mind set and saying a short prayer, but I honestly feel they are going to try to go places they shouldn't and I'll gladly step up and shut the improper conversations down.

I am tasked with advocating for my children for life, by God and as a caring, involved parent, and nothing will change that.
